The Datastroyer MVHD-2 delivers 40,000 lbs. (20 tons) of force to your drives, completely crushing and mangling media. The patented crushing plates specifically target the whole platter to leave the drive’s data completely unreadable. The chamber holds either 1 full size HDD or 2 laptop HDDs at a time. In addition to destroying 2.5″ and 3.5″ HDDs, the MVHD-2 also tackles cell phones, DLT and LTO tapes. Operation is easy: simply drop your drive into the chamber, close the lock-out door, and press a button. Destruction takes about 30 seconds or less. The MVHD-2’s collection drawer catches debris, keeping the operator safe and making for hassle-free cleanup.
